Meet Bailey Joinery's Team of Carpenters
Meet Sam Bailey, Founder of Bailey Joinery
Sam Bailey's passion for carpentry began at a young age. Growing up, he and his brother would often visit their father at work in a joinery shop, where Sam’s fascination with woodwork and craftsmanship took root. After finishing school, his interest in architecture and building led him to pursue a career in the construction industry.
In 2005, Sam joined a large building company in Knaresborough, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of building, including carpentry, plumbing, and plastering. Eager to deepen his skills, he attended Harrogate College, where he completed an apprenticeship, earning his NVQ Level 2 and later his NVQ Level 3 qualifications in joinery and carpentry. Sam didn’t stop there—he went on to achieve advanced carpentry certifications, setting the foundation for his future work.
By 2010, Sam decided to refine his craft by working with a smaller builder, focusing on domestic projects. It was during this time that he found his true calling in bespoke carpentry and fitted furniture. Today, Sam brings years of experience, skill, and dedication to every project, ensuring that each piece created by Bailey Joinery is crafted to the highest standards.
